All Levels Hatha Yoga: 75 Minutes

A balanced approach to yoga, devoting equal attention to strength and flexibility. Taking time to hold each pose for 3-5 breath cycles will naturally bring awareness to the body and quiet the mind.

This class is currently taught Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:15am and Monday-Thursday at 4:00pm.

Hatha/Vinyasa Flow: 75 Minutes (All Levels)

This class is made up of two different concepts of yoga. One concept, Vinyasa flow, which usually has faster movements and takes you in an out of poses using therapeutic and mindful breath. This helps you really get to know where your personal physical edge is and notice when it changes. The other concept, Hatha, brings you into static poses and draws your attention to subtle alignment cues, holding strength and integrity for 3-5 breaths. This brings awareness to your posture and habits of the body bringing about positive, mindful movements. A flow full of intention to bring strength, focus and energy to every movement. 

This class is currently taught Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:30pm and Wednesday and Friday Mornings at 9:30am.

Unwind – Classes to “Let Go”: 75 Min (All Levels)

These include a rotation of three relaxing, yoga styles.
Yin, restorative and gentle yoga. Class focus changes based on the season, teacher and students needs. It is designed to let go of the day and transition to a relaxing and meditative evening. In a world of sympathetic stimulation and stress give your body, mind and nerves the okay to just “Let Go” and eventually “Let be”. All levels of practitioners welcome!

These classes are offered in February every evening Monday-Thursday 7-8:15pm.

Gentle Yoga: 60-75 Minutes (All Levels)

This class is great for the prenatal, postpartum and aging or injured body.
Gentle movements to explore mobility, reduce pain and massage circulation into tight or limited spaces. A yoga flow designed to be extra gentle using props and modifications as necessary. It is a class focused highly on alignment in each pose and mindful movement in between. These elements are the key to a productive, fun and fulfilling practice. Slowing down is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety.

Gentle Yoga is currently taught Sunday at 5:30 PM and Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00am and is sometimes a style of the rotating, “Unwind” class series.

Yin: 75 Minutes (All Levels)

Slow, quiet, and purposeful Yin yoga serves to create space in the body and the mind as you actively pursue your limits while performing a stretching asana, self-myofascial release, and breathwork. This class will challenge your range of motion and any stale energy. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing time to connect with your breathe while exploring your body and mind.

This Class is currently taught Monday and Wednesday at 5:30pm and is part of the rotating, “Unwind” class series.

Restorative Yoga: 75 Minutes (All Levels)

This style has a focus on nervous system release and letting go. Similar to Yin in the say it engages time and stillness; the poses are held for 3-5 minutes. The main focus is in release of the nervous system. The body is often supported with extra bolsters, blankets and blocks to create the most comfort in every shape. This class is currently taught as part of the rotating,”Unwind” class series.

Meditation, Mantra and Pranayama: 60 Minutes (All Levels)

This class goes over various methods of meditation and breathwork to help improve concentration and self awareness while providing exercises to help with both. The benefits of breathwork are many with some being reduced stress and enhanced oxygen flow to the mind and body.

This class changes content every week and has a variety of meditation including concentration, mindfulness, moving meditations, pranayama, mantra chanting, Qi Gong, Guided meditation and much more.

No meditation experience is necessary! Bring an open mind and willingness to sit with your thoughts, learn to observe them without judgement, and find a little peace in the process.

Each class ends with a relaxing savasana. Depending on class goals this savasana often includes a little “Extra” to get into that deep space. Beyond the extra comfort of props it could also include: guided meditations, drumming, live mantra, gong baths, craniosacral therapy, essential oils, reiki and gentle massage on the face, head or feet.

Sara will be teaching similar psychology curriculum from the MBY program, but less formally and without handouts each class. This is yoga with a range of mental wellness strategies designed to guide you toward optimal well-being.
